EN _When KC Meets Simon_ is an international trio that consists of Simon Comte on saxophones, Chet Carlson on doublebass and Kabelo Mokhatla on drums. The musicians are respectively from Belgium, USA and South Africa. While being deeply rooted in the tradition of jazz music, the trio takes inspiration from all their cultures and different backgrounds. The trio met in New York City, at the Manhattan School of Music under the mentorship of Jaleel Shaw. Members of the trio have played with Gilad Hekselman, Nduduzo Makhathini, WDR Big Band, Kanoa Mendenhall and more.

Les musiciens sont respectivement originaires de Belgique, des États-Unis et d'Afrique du Sud. Tout en étant profondément ancré dans la tradition du jazz, le trio s'inspire de toutes leurs cultures et de leurs différents horizons. Le trio s'est rencontré à New York, à la Manhattan School of Music, sous la tutelle de Jaleel Shaw. Les membres du trio ont joué avec Gilad Hekselman, Nduduzo Makhathini, le WDR Big Band, Kanoa Mendenhall et bien d'autres encore.
